Quotes

Please pass on our very grateful thanks to you and your brilliant band. The whole evening was a tremendous success mainly thanks to the wonderful show put on by Fendragon. Everyone at the wedding said how much they enjoyed the whole experience, and it was the best evening they had spent in many a year!
I will certainly be recommending you to anyone who asks for a fantastic evening's entertainment.

Wedding near Bury St Edmunds, August 2015

All of our friends and family had the most wonderful time and people are raving about the music and dancing - they want a ceilidh at every future event they can think of! It was brilliant to see them all so full of joy whirling each other around, even the most unlikely of aunts and uncles...all I can say is we will be recommending you to everyone, and are so glad so were able to be a part of the day. Relaxed, informal and fun is what we were hoping for and we are tremendously happy with what we achieved.

Wedding, Hitchin, June 2013

Thank you so much for such a brilliant evening for Katy and John's wedding. So many people said it was the best fun ever. We all danced from aged 2-89 yrs and it was a fantastic way for the various families and friends to mix and get to know each other. I enjoyed the beautiful musicality of the group, and the 'calling' was clear, non-judgemental[!] and very positively encouraging. Excellent!

Wedding, Cambridge, July 2012

Thank you so much for your fantastic music at our wedding ceilidh. We had a wonderful evening and all our friends & relatives have commented on how amazing and varied the music was and how much they enjoyed themselves...

"Fendragon have the knack of lifting you up with their music... great to listen to as well."

Bob Ridout, caller and folk dancer for over 30 years

Thank you so much for the ceilidh at our wedding... I hope you could tell how much we were enjoying the dancing - even if we weren't always very proficient!
So many people complimented us on your music and said how much fun they had trying to master the steps.
Please pass on our thanks for a wonderful evening to the rest of the band.

One of our many wedding clients

"I had quite a few compliments about the band - always a good thing!"

Penny Allen, Meltdown Ceilidhs, Sussex"

Thank you so much for the fantastic ceilidh at our wedding earlier this month - it was brilliant, and so many of our guests commented on what a great idea it was to have a ceidilih (even those that had never been to one before!). Those that had been to ceilidhs before thought the way the caller explained the dances so simply and then quickly got everyone started dancing worked really well, and that the music was particularly good. It was such a great way of getting everybody up and dancing, and we thought both the band and the caller were great.

Wedding in May 2008

The whole idea was a complete hit with our guests... Looking back it's hard to imagine how we would have got all our friends and families dancing together and enjoying it so much if it wasn't for the musicians and brilliant (adaptable to our younger guests!) caller.

Some friends of ours who came in the evening have also decided on a ceilidh for their wedding... the ceilidh was really the highlight of the day for both of us and something we will never forget, thank you so much to all of you for a fabulous evening.

Another wedding, September 2007

Thanks for a great performance - exactly what we wanted - and well managed to suit other passing priorities like eating - and to suit the small people!

After an open-air afternoon birthday party, 2007

"Lovely music!"

August 2014 - Whitby Folk Week

We were delighted to be invited to play at Whitby Folk week, for a late night ceilidh with Ian Wilson calling and as the resident band for a "traditional night out" with Dan Quinn in charge. Both events went down well and we sold lots of CDs!

New CD coming! (2014)

Ely Folk Festival 2012

We played the late Friday night ceilidh as Ely Folk Festival. Even before that, we had decided we should be playing more festival ceilidhs, but after that one, we are absolutely certain we'd like more and will be looking for some 2013 opportunities!

Hitchin Unicorn Success

26 January 2007
Our second appearance at the monthly Hitchin Unicorn Ceilidh was a huge success, with Andrew Swaine calling. Lots of people came up and said how the music was "just right" and "really easy to dance to" - just what we like to hear! Our next public dance is on Feb 17th in Sproughton, Suffolk so don't miss it if you can get there and like a good dance!

Ceilidh is The New Rock and Roll

...according to this PRWeb Article which we spotted in 2005. Of couse it's still true... We have nothing to do with the agency mentioned, but we'll play for your wedding!
